Daily Drop-In Pet Visits in South Charlotte
Walks, meals, and company, every single day
Neighborhood walks, potty breaks, feeding, medication, and unhurried company while you’re at work or away for the day. Thirty or sixty minutes, scheduled around the routine your pet already knows. Dog walking and drop-in pet visits for dogs and cats across South Charlotte, Ballantyne, Matthews, Weddington, Marvin, and Waxhaw.
What a Visit Includes
Every visit is built around your pet, so no two look exactly alike. These are the pieces we’ll choose from at your meet-and-greet.
Walks and Potty Breaks
A proper neighborhood walk, or a quick trip to the yard if that’s all your dog needs. Always on a standard leash or harness, from a dog walker your dog already knows.
Feeding and Fresh Water
Meals measured the way you measure them, bowls washed, and fresh water down before I leave.
Medication
Pills, drops, topicals, or injections, given on schedule and noted in your update so you know it happened.
Playtime and Enrichment
Fetch, tug, a puzzle toy, or a brush and a nap on the couch. Whatever your pet actually enjoys.
Litter Box Care
Scooped once or twice daily, litter topped off, and a full change when it’s needed.
Photo and Text Updates
After every single visit, not just the first one. You’ll see what your pet was doing five minutes ago.
How It Works
Three steps from first call to a key in the lockbox and a walk on the calendar.
We Meet, at Your Place
Every first booking starts with a free meet-and-greet in your home. Your pets meet me somewhere they already feel safe, we walk through the routine, and you leave knowing exactly what your rate will be.
You Fill Out the Packet
Feeding, medication, vet information, house rules, and who to call in an emergency. Fill it out once, and we update what’s changed before the next trip.
Visits Begin
You send dates, I confirm within a day, and every visit ends with a photo and a note. Same person every time, since Niftee Pet Services is a one-woman show.
Good to Know
A handful of policies shape how I work. Every one of them exists for your pet’s safety.
Every Day, Never Every Other Day
Whether you’re on vacation or traveling for work, someone is checking on your pets daily. Cats included. Other companies will offer you every-other-day visits, and I won’t.
No Retractable Leashes
For the safety of every pet in my care, I don’t use retractable leashes. Please have a standard leash, harness, martingale, or gentle leader available.
Weather Comes First
Walks may be shortened or moved indoors during extreme heat or severe weather. Indoor enrichment fills the gap, and the visit still happens.
Samson and Penny
If your dog enjoys friendly company, I’m happy to bring my Bichon Frise, Samson, or my rough Collie, Penny, along. Only with your approval, and only when it’s a good fit.
Common Questions
Anything not covered here, call or text and I’ll answer it directly.
How long is a visit?
Thirty or sixty minutes. Thirty covers a walk, a potty break, or a quick check-in with feeding. Sixty gives us time for a longer walk, or time to settle in and play, which suits puppies, seniors, and pets who take a while to warm up.
How many visits a day do I need?
Most dogs do well with two to three visits a day when you’re away overnight. Cats typically need one visit daily. For vacation pet sitting, senior dogs, and anxious pets, we usually add a visit. We’ll settle on the number at your meet-and-greet, based on age, medication schedule, and how long your pet is comfortable alone.
Do you take cats?
Yes. Niftee Pet Services cares for dogs and cats only, so I’m a cat sitter as often as a dog walker. Cat visits include feeding, fresh water, litter box care, brushing, medication if needed, and time to sit with your cat rather than rushing out the door.
What if my pets need more than a drop-in?
For longer trips, or for pets who struggle with being alone at night, Signature Live-In Pet Care means I stay in your home overnight. You can read about it on the Overnight Pet Sitting page.
Do you serve my neighborhood?
Visits are booked in South Charlotte, Ballantyne, Matthews, Weddington, Marvin, and Waxhaw in North Carolina, plus Fort Mill and Rock Hill in South Carolina. If you’re just outside that, ask anyway.
How do I pay, and how far ahead should I book?
Booking details are confirmed at your meet-and-greet. Holidays and school breaks fill first, so the earlier you reach out for those dates, the better.
