Included With Every Stay

One flat nightly rate covers both the pet care and the house care. Nothing here is an add-on.

Overnight Company

I sleep in your home, so your pets aren’t alone at two in the morning. For anxious pets and senior dogs, this is the whole point, and it’s the gentlest alternative to boarding.

Walks Morning Through Evening

Multiple walks and potty breaks across the day, on the schedule your dog is used to rather than a fixed visit window.

Feeding and Medication

Meals on time, fresh water, and any pills, drops, or injections handled exactly as written in your intake packet.

Playtime and Enrichment

One-on-one attention, plus litter box care and quiet company for the cats in the house.

Mail, Packages, and Trash

Mail and packages brought in, bins out on collection day and back again, blinds opened in the morning and closed at night.

Daily Photo and Text Updates

Every day you’re gone. You’ll know how the night went before you’ve finished your coffee.

Overnight Rates

One flat nightly rate covers both the pet care and the house care, whether it’s a weekend away or two weeks of vacation pet sitting. Your exact rate is confirmed at the free meet-and-greet, once I’ve met your pets and know what their days look like.

What a Day in Your Home Might Look Like

Roughly how a stay runs, though the real schedule is yours. We build it together at the meet-and-greet.

Morning

Up, Out, and Fed

First walk of the day, breakfast measured your way, morning medication, fresh water, and blinds open. Litter boxes scooped.

Midday

Errands, Then Back Home

If I step out, your pets get a potty break first and I’m back within a few hours. For pets who shouldn’t be left at all, tell me at the meet-and-greet, and I’ll plan around it.

Afternoon

Play, Brush, and Rest

Fetch in the yard, a puzzle toy, a good brushing, or a nap on the couch with the TV on. Mail and packages come in, and bins go out if it’s collection day.

Evening

Dinner and a Last Walk

Evening meal, evening medication, and a final walk before bed. Your daily photo and text update goes out around here.

Overnight

Someone in the House

Lights and blinds as you’d have them, doors locked, and your pets sleeping where they always sleep, with company down the hall if they need it.

Your Home, Looked After Too

An empty house looks empty from the street. A lived-in one doesn’t. Basic home care is part of every stay, not an upcharge.

  • Mail and packages brought in daily
  • Trash and recycling out on collection day, and back after
  • Blinds opened in the morning, closed at night
  • Lights rotated so the house looks occupied
  • Plants watered on your schedule
  • A text if something looks wrong, from a leak to a package that never arrived

Good to Know

A few things worth settling before your first stay.

Samson and Penny

If your dog enjoys friendly company, I’m happy to bring my Bichon Frise, Samson, or my rough Collie, Penny, on overnight stays. Only with your approval, and only when it’s a good fit for your pets.

No Retractable Leashes

For the safety of every pet in my care, I don’t use retractable leashes. Please have a standard leash, harness, martingale, or gentle leader available.

Codes Are Shared in Person

I never collect alarm codes, lockbox combinations, or Wi-Fi passwords through an online form. You’ll share those at the meet-and-greet, or write them on the printed packet.

Insured, Certified, and Screened

Niftee Pet Services is fully insured, a member of Pet Sitters International, certified in Pet First Aid and CPCR, and background-check cleared.

Common Questions

Anything not covered here, call or text and I’ll answer it directly.

Are you in my house the entire time?

Not every hour, no. I run errands the way you would, and I’m out of the house for short stretches during the day. Your pets get a potty break before I go, and I’m back within a few hours. If your pet can’t be left alone at all, say so at the meet-and-greet and we’ll plan the stay around that.

What do you need from me before a stay?

A completed intake packet, a way in, food and medication where I can find them, and your vet’s information. Everything else we cover at the meet-and-greet.

How many pets can you take?

Up to three pets per household at no additional fee. Dogs and cats only. Larger households are worth asking about, since it depends on the pets rather than the number.

What happens if my pet gets sick while I’m away?

Your intake packet names your vet, your emergency hospital, and how you want veterinary costs handled. I contact you first whenever it’s possible, and follow your written instructions when it isn’t.

Do you need your own room?

A place to sleep and somewhere to keep a bag is plenty. Any rooms that are off limits go on the intake packet, and I’ll stay out of them.

What if I only need someone stopping by?

Then drop-in visits are the better fit, especially for cats. You can read about those on the Daily Drop-In Pet Visits page. Either way, if you’re out of town, someone is checking on your pets every day.
